minusoneman2 Guys from Misery Index & Phillip H. Anselmo go for furious grinding Black (Death) Metal. Very Intense. I almost forgot this very strong band for I am no fan of PHA. But this kills. Somewhere between Anaal Nathrakh & Born To Murder The World but way more bleakness. If you’re into these bands don’t sleep on this! Favorite track: Piles.

Sue Denaim The intro growl in the first 20 seconds of Piles is the best thing Phil Anselmo has ever done vocaly. Sick as Fuck.

Daniel Nielsen Amazing EP from Scour yet again, a real assault on all your senses. My admiration for Phil's vocal range keeps growing he really is a real Swiss army knife when it comes down to it. Favorite track: Piles.

about

Scour

One of the most highly anticipated supergroups of recent times, Scour are the merger of Pantera’s Philip H. Anselmo, Agoraphobic Nosebleed’s John Jarvis, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals’ Derek Engemann, Pig Destroyer’s Adam Jarvis, and Misery Index’s Mark Kloeppel, an interesting combination that surprisingly sounds nothing like any of the aforementioned bands. Scour speaks for itself. ... more
